Health Insurance for Students
According to current U.S. statistics, there are approximately 17.5 million students attending college and/or graduate school. Most of these students will be required to obtain health insurance through their particular schools. And because most colleges and universities add student insurance to the cost of tuition, many students, and parents, take it for granted that they have insurance coverage, that is, until they need it.
Are you a student? If yes, you must have many times encountered insurance representatives selling students health insurance. If you have not considered their advice seriously, you must do now. There are many ways you can benefit from a students' health insurance policy. For instance, if you plan to travel and study abroad during an upcoming
semester, you need to consider purchasing overseas student health insurance seriously. It will let you rest assured about any kind of illness, physical emergency or medical expenses, you need to incur while staying in abroad or traveling for study.

A student health insurance is not only for students who get sick easily. The insurance policy will save you from any kind of illness you may face anytime during your student life.
Getting a student health insurance coverage is a prudent decision especially when you have limited resources. Can you imagine the situation where you require to spend your entire saving within some days when you get sick? You cannot imagine the kind of expenses you need to encounter with to get a good hospital treatment without any health insurance coverage.

The insurance coverage will let you save a good amount of money that you would otherwise be spending on paying your hospital bills and medicine. The key is to stop thinking that you will never get sick. Emergency can strike anyone, anytime. Hence, you need to prepare yourself for the hazards and ill effects of a sickness in advance. This will save your money, time and most importantly provide you the peace of mind you need to concentrate on your studies
Are You Covered
Don't get complacent, by thinking that you are covered by your universities health insurance.
Know the particulars of the health insurance that is offered. Secondly, take some precautionary steps to make sure you don't have that "deer in the headlight" look if you ever find yourself having to use your student medical insurance. Read, Read and Then Read Some More!

Believe it or not, you can still get information on paper, even in this technological age! Read any and all materials you receive from the school. There is usually pertinent information placed within the fine lines and in paperwork that you may think is unimportant.

Read the information at the college or university web site, Many students only look at the college or universities website for popular information (email, financial information, or grades). With a little more scrutiny, you can find practically all of the information students need, including information regarding their health insurance policies.

Auto Insurance for Student
Most people only think that auto insurance is something they need so they can get their registration and tag so they can drive. It is something that they need because their license will be suspended if they don't get it. It's just a bother to some because people think "I don't get into accidents, I am a careful driver."

Often times people will call for auto insurance quotes and say give me the cheapest insurance or give me only what is required. Many people don't even know what this insurance coverage this is. A lot of people only really become aware of what coverage they have when they need it, like when they need to make a claim.

When you run into that stopped car or have someone sideswipe your car in a parking lot while you are shopping, suddenly having only the coverage is required by law may not be the best thing to have. You should always have as much insurance as you can afford to carry. Having too little is never good and if you have insurance you cannot afford is not any better. A policy that is cancelled due to non-payment does you no good at all

Be Prepared                         Don't Drive Scared
Well, if you have the proper state required coverage you will be protected by the no-fault law. If you are in an
accident whether you are at fault or not at fault you will go through your own personal injury coverage for your
medical expenses for the first $10,000. If you do not have at lease state minimum insurance then you will not
be protected and may be subject to paying for the injuries of the other people you hurt in the accident.

There are many types of coverage to purchase and meet your auto insurance needs. Every coverage has a
purpose and all are good to get.

State minimum insurance is Personal Injury Protection and Property Damage. Personal Injury Protection or
P.I.P. covers your medical, hospital and funeral expenses up to its limits. It also covers others in your vehicle
and pedestrians struck by your car. You are covered for up to $10,000. There also may be a deductible. This
can be $ 0, $250, $500 or $1000 deductible.

Property Damage liability covers if your vehicle damages another person's property. This could be their car,
house, motorcycle, etc. Limits for this are $10,000, $25,000 or $50,000.

Cars parked in garages are less likely to be stolen, vandalized, or struck by other vehicles. Using a
garage to store your car may entitle you to a slight premium reduction.

If you have multiple cars and drivers then you could qualify for a multifamily discount. Sometimes your
children's auto insurance premium can be lowered based on their school grade point average.

Other discounts may be available if you meet certain criteria. Examples may include discounts for taking a
defensive driving course, being a AAA member or staying with the same auto insurance company for a
number of years. These discounts vary by company.

Finally try using an anti-theft device. This helps to reduce your auto insurance cost.

Students...Try These Tips to Lower your Auto Insurance
Are you a college student on a limited budget, but who needs student auto insurance? Here are some tips for finding good cheap auto insurance. First of all, if your parents will let you stay on their auto insurance plan, you will likely find that you will save quite a bit of money with this coverage. Your parents more than likely have good driving records and therefore low auto insurance rates. If this is the case, then they may be able to keep you on their plan while you are in school.

If this is not an option for you, then you should think through how much actual driving you will be doing. If you will only be driving during vacations and school breaks, you can save a lot of money on your student auto insurance. If you live on campus and you will be walking to classes, you may only need to have auto insurance for the weekends or breaks. If you drive fewer miles during the school year, you can get much lower rates than if you drive to and from school everyday.

You can park your car at home and just use it when you are at home, not when you are at school. Due to the fact that most college students are in their teens and early twenties, student auto insurance can be very expensive. Whatever your needs are for the level of coverage, you need to maintain a good driving record at all times, because if you don't, your rates will sky rocket because of your age.

Take a driving course and show your completion reports to your insurance company. They will consider lowering your auto insurance premiums if you make a conscious effort to keep your rates down. Another way you can keep your auto insurance rates down is to keep your grades up. If you make the honor roll and keep a certain grade point average, your auto insurance rates will be lower. Insurance companies assume that if you are responsible enough to get good grades that you are probably a more responsible driver as well.
